There is a type of fat that's good for you. Here are some ways to get it into your diet.

Fats are an essential part of the diet. Recent studies show that not only is it important to monitor the amount of fat consumed, but also the type of fat. The consumption of monounsaturated fat has been shown to reduce clotting in the blood (blood clots can trigger a heart attack or stroke) as well as lower blood cholesterol levels, reducing heart disease risk.

Here are a few good sources of foods rich in monounsaturated fats:

Olives and olive oil
Canola oil Avocado
Peanuts and peanut oil
Peanut butter
Hazelnuts
Cashews
Sesame seeds

Just keep in mind that while these fats can be beneficial, it is not a license to go "nuts." They still contain 120 calories and 14 grams of fat per tablespoon - so keep portions small and enjoy as part of a healthy, well-balanced meal plan.
