Raise your hands to relieve upper body tension brought on by desk jockey duties.

Slaving away at your desk can cause tension in your back, neck and shoulders. If your nine-to-five grind requires you to hunch over a computer all day, try a few stretches to nip muscle tension in the bud, or prevent it altogether. It will only take you a minute or so to perform these stretches, and you can do them right at your desk. Sit up in your chair with your back straight; eyes focused forward and your chin up. Now raise both hands above your head. With palms facing the floor, intertwine your fingers. Take a deep breath as you arch your back for a good stretch. Hold the stretch for 5 to 10 seconds; then exhale slowly as you straighten your back. Repeat throughout the day whenever you need relief from back, neck or shoulder aches.
