Fox Gets Foxier Print E-mail

After months of looking scary-skinny, Megan Fox has finally packed on a few extra pounds. So what inspired the healthy 180?

A role, of course. Isn't it always? Actually, that's the same reason she lost weight in the first place—for her starring turn in next year's Diablo Cody-penned thriller Jennifer’s Body. She plays the body. Her role required a dangerous but fairly straightforward weight loss plan: "I just stopped eating," she says. Not uncommon for serious Oscar contenders, but this is a flick about a possessed cheerleader.

But the director on her new movie wasn't a fan of her new figure, so he ordered her to put on 10 pounds. Granted, Charlize Theron earned an Oscar when she put on weight to play a serial killer in Monster, and renee Zellweger got a nod when she did the same for Bridget Jones. But I'm guessing Megan isn't doing it for the gold statue—the movie in question is the Transformers sequel. Still,  it's good to see her back in fighting form.
