Do You Think Alcohol Should Have a Nutrition Facts on the Label? Print E-mail

Did you even notice that alcohol has no nutritional information? I've noticed. Today, a coalition of public interest groups called for the federal government to end 30 years of "deliberations and fact finding" by launching a ad campaign and lobbying effort to require standardized labeling information on beer, wine and distilled spirits products.  What do you think?

I Think it should....

I think alcoholic bev. should contain nutrition information. I think if we are aware of what we are consuming (caloric-wise) then you might just think twice about a second gla*s. I know I try to stay within a certain calorie intake daily and if I were to over do it, be able to see how much damage was done. Also I just like knowing calorie information, just to know.

YES, alcohol should definitely have nutrition facts. I like an occasional drink but I generally stick to wine because I know that 4 ounces has around 80 calories. If I knew the calorie content of other drinks, I could expand my repertoire without damage to my lower calorie lifestyle.
