A Little More Than Yoga Print E-mail

Turns out I’m not the only one who gets tired of hearing celebs attribute their fab figures to the occasional tree pose. Hollywood fitness guru Gunnar Peterson recently revealed that he’s trained some of those celebs, and—surprise, surprise—they’ve been working a little harder than they let on.

After all, yoga is no calorie-blaster. It only burns around 140 calories per hour—about the same as washing dishes. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on it. It's unbeatable for core strength and flexibility, and I’m kind of addicted lately. But I don't think that's the only way these starlets are staying slim.

Which brings me to Peterson. He’s the guy who whipped Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Lopez into primo shape, among others. And he reveals, "I had one actress training with me four times a week in addition to daily exercise bike classes. When the press asked how she'd transformed her body, she said, 'Oh, I do yoga and hike with my dog.' It makes me laugh."

By the way, I don't think Angelina or J-Lo were the celeb he's referring to. They've both owned up to grueling fitness regimens in the past.

I just wonder why so many celebs refuse to own up to breaking a sweat now and then.
