Oh my gosh. This is so funny. I’m read this article in Crain’s NY Business about the new calories law that’s going into effect on March 31, 2008. The law requires all restaurants with 15 or more units in the NYC to have caloric information on the menu or menu boards. The article is about upscale restaurants complaining that it might hurt their business. Well, what did you think would happen? If you thought that might happen, how about coming up with some healthier foods? Wouldn’t that be a good idea? Then people can make a choice. Having this information available is not designed to hurt or punish the restaurant--it is designed to help people make more informed, better choices. This way they don’t have to guess what the calories are, in the food they eat. Think about this – the price is on the menu. Are we saying that money is more important than health? Nah… Trackback(0)
