Calorie Bargain: Travel-size and individual salad dressings from Minimus.biz

The Why: Looking for your favorite light salad dressing? Or perhaps you want a low calorie mayo, but you’re out to lunch or dinner and the restaurant doesn’t offer the one you like. Well, Minimus.biz has all things individual and travel-sized. They even have Newman's Own® Light Italian Dressing, Kraft Lite and Fat Free Mayonnaise. Minimus also offers packages of Kar's PB&J Mix (1.5 oz packet. salted peanuts & strawberry flavored jelly drops) at 210 calories. Add a few 100 percent whole grain crackers, and you have an instant mini-meal – anywhere. Maybe you’re looking for a portion-controlled cereal? They have that too. Minimus.biz offers several hundred travel size and individual size items, and many of the items are not available for retail sale anywhere else.

The Health Bonus: Having portion-sized dressings and condiments allows you to avoid salad-sabotage.

What We Liked Best: The selection is pretty large, and the website has a tab that takes you right to the “Fat Free” and “Lite” dressings.

What We Liked Least: Buying these can be costly. Also, while the ingredients are listed on the website, adding the nutritional information per package would be very useful.

What It Replaces: High calorie dressings that are not portioned-controlled.

The Price: $0.40 and up.

Other Offerings: Ken’s Fat Free Honey Dijon Dressing, Chicken of the Sea Premium Albacore Tuna in Water, Chicken of the Sea Tuna Cup - CajunKar's Peanut, Almond, Cashew Mix
