Get outside, it’s mentally and physically good for you! Print E-mail

When your mom told you to go out and play, she possibly didn’t realize that just being outside can improve your physical and mental well being.  Exercising on a natural surface actually benefits your musculoskeletal system.  Ligaments, tendons, and other stabilizing muscles that may not be used on flat or man made surfaces get strengthened really quickly.  And think about how nice it is to be under the sun or watching a sunset…

These days, the average person spends more than 90% of his/her time indoors.  Think about it, we wake up, drive to work, work all day, drive to the gym, and then go home. Do whatever you can to get outside more often.  Even a brisk walk on your lunch break or after dinner with your family can recharge your batteries and get your endorphins flowing. I want everyone to realize that you don’t need to have the ball and chain of a gym membership to get in the best shape of your life (and have fun while doing it)!
