A year or two ago, there was a rumor skinny stars were adding clenbuterol to their usual diet of sashimi, coffee, and cocaine. The buzz came and went—maybe because clen is a drug used to treat asthma in horses, and the side effects in humans range from foul to fatal. In fact, it’s not even approved for horses in the

’s Daily Mirror reported that Britney Spears had taken a hefty mix of pills—including 20 clenbuterol pills—before her bizarre police standoff. Not sure if I buy it, since Britney’s toxicology report came up clean. Still, it’s made the rounds in
Basically, clenbuterol works the same way as diet pills—it speeds up the nervous system and curbs appetite. Of course, it also speeds up the heart and can cause tremors, nausea, heart palpitations, and muscle spasms. But a celeb in pursuit of a size zero knows no fear, I guess. Trackback(0)
