Eva’s Ups and Downs Print E-mail

I was all set to write about Eva’s stay-slim secrets, but then a few not-so-flattering pictures popped up and sparked rumors that she’s pregnant.

Click here to see pic that has everyone buzzing. Eva brushed off the rumors, blaming her current unemployment for the suspicious belly bump. She says, “No pregnancy, not yet. I’ve been cooking and eating, cooking and eating. I keep telling everyone that I’ve gained 10 pounds just being on strike.” So what do you think? Baby bump or plain old bloat?

Either way, she’s obviously enjoying her downtime while Desperate Housewives is on hiatus.

Let’s talk about her workout tips anyway, in case this strike ever ends and she has to get back into Gabby-worthy shape. Eva admits she favors her butt during workouts, doing loads of squats on VersaDiscs (those core-strengthening gizmos that look like inflated Frisbees). “It works your entire leg…my butt beefs up and I fill out my jeans better,” she told Self magazine. She also admitted to having minimal motivation: “I love my trainer…but I hope every day that he cancels.” Been there, wished that.

But her best secret is breakfast—usually egg whites with spinach, followed by yogurt or cereal for a snack. According to one survey, people who eat breakfast consume fewer fat calories in a day and 40 percent less cholesterol. Yum.

We’ll have to wait a few weeks to see which direction Eva’s fitness routine goes from here—back to the VersaDiscs, or off to pre-natal Pilates?
