Ten Pounds? Really? Print E-mail

Tara Reid needs to brush up on her math. (Maybe while eating a sandwich or three.)

Tara took a break from her busy schedule of cheesy horror movies and bargain-basement party appearances to brush off anorexia rumors, saying, “I’m not too thin. I go up 10 pounds, I go down 10 pounds. I was thin for a movie that I just finished. Now they’re going to see me and say I’m too fat because I’ve gained 10 pounds...I can’t win!”

So she lost ten pounds and gained ten pounds—that would mean she broke even. I think anyone who’s seen a photo of her recently would have to disagree. Fat? Not quite.

Funny thing is, she still tries to explain away her weight loss: “I was filming in the middle of nowhere, and my hotel had no room service. So when I wanted to eat, it was difficult.” Um. Okay. It’s just…hmm. How should I put this? Sometimes, when I’m really hungry, I get off my butt and leave the room in search of food. I don’t think a hunger strike is the normal reaction to a lack of access to $25 room-service omelets.

Scary thing is, her brother think she looks just fine. He raves, “Doesn’t she look fantastic? She’s skinny and healthy. She’s eating all organic foods.” I agree with “skinny,” but that’s about it.
