Looks like Renee Zellweger forgot her official line about staying in shape. Again. I had to roll my eyes when she recently said, “I don’t have a fitness regime, just a lifestyle. I keep my sanity by going to the gym to work out the weirdness of my days.” Wow, so carefree! Except she’s a notorious fitness fanatic, so I’m not sure why she thought anyone would believe she was blasé about exercise. So it wasn’t much surprise when, a week later, she changed her tune just a teeny tiny bit: “I ride my bike to the ocean, I dive in and then I ride my bike home. I also run between three and five miles, six days a week. In fact, I run until it hurts. I have knee and back injuries which mean I can’t do any more than that. Oh, and I do yoga, too.” Holy crap, is that all? I’m going to overlook the chafing issues that must go hand-in-hand with that first bit. The fact is, this girl basically competes in her own personal sprint triathlon every week. If that’s not a “fitness regime” in the most literal sense of the word, I don’t know what is. (As a side note, Renee, running until you aggravate your injuries is not what trainers mean by “no pain, no gain.” Give your joints a break.) Then again, Renee has been known to get her weight-relating musings a little twisted in the past. When she gained thirty pounds for the first Bridget Jones, she acted like it was no biggie—and then quickly dropped far more than she gained. When she signed on for the sequel, she brushed off questions about her impending regain by saying, “It's not martyrdom to change yourself a little bit.” But she also griped, “For two days, it's bliss…you can indulge all your fantasies about non-stop chocolate consumption or ordering the pizza and the spaghetti and the garlic bread. Then after a week, your glucose levels are going crazy…. It doesn't feel good." Hmm, sounds almost martyr-ish, doesn’t it? What a tangled web we weave when we pretend to be naturally skinny. I thought she looked awesome in Bridget Jones. I'm still trying to figure out why everyone went on and on about how "fat" she got for that movie. Zuh??!?

Wow, her regime sounds crazy! But I've seen a few of her interviews and she seems like the type to do crazy things like workout for hours a day
