Calorie Bargain: Vessel Workplace Dish Set Print E-mail

The Why: How long has it been since you were proud of the “tin” you brought your lunch in? (Come on, don’t you wish you still had a Wonder Woman or Speed Racer lunch box?) Well, planning your meals in advance and preparing them yourself are integral parts to eating healthfully.  So if you’re gonna pack it, why not have something swanky—and reusable—to carry it in? This neat lunch set will have you packing with pride and making sure that you take time to sit down and eat your food.

The Health Bonus: The dish set provides portion control, saves the “calorie risk” of lunching out day after day at restaurants with unfamiliar or unhealthy menus, and lets you look forward to eating your own home-made meal.

What We Liked Best: This new take on a lunch box is chic enough for any office, and might even get some people talkin’ around the water cooler! It’s also heat safe up to 300 degrees and dishwasher safe.

What We Liked Least: It doesn’t have a handle, so it could be a little difficult to carry if you didn't have a free hand or space in your work bag.

What It Replaces: Take-out containers (styrofoam, paper, disposable plastic wrappers, cardboard boxes, etc...), brown paper bags and/or your old beat-up lunch box!

Price: $29.00 (A little pricey, but cheaper than 2 days' take-out...)

Offerings: This is sort of a "one size fits all"--it's a good thing the aqua is a nice color!

Web Site: http://www.vessel.com/prod_cur_work.html

Where to Buy: Visit their website to purchase, or to find a store near you (click, then scroll down the page for the locator tool).

Nutritional Information: Your choice! (Make it a good one…)

Ingredients: Place mat, cup, plate, bowl and utensils.
