More Young'uns Going Vegg Print E-mail

USA Today says that the rate of kids going vegg is on a steady increase. The reason for this may be attributed to the fact that finding vegg foods to feed your kiddos is a lot more easier nowadays...

I tried to go vegg back in the mid 80s when I was all of 12 years old. It lasted less than one night, if I remember correctly... it wasn't a particularly popular decision among my deerhunting/meateating family. But, I can imagine, now, how difficult it may have been to find vegg products back then, living where we did. Today we have the local Sams/Publix/Meijer stocked with all the latest in vegg offerings.

I'm hoping my own daughter develops a strike of conscience one of these days, and finally elects to join me! How about you? What would you do if your child wanted to go vegg?

Im a seventh grade student and a vegg. I recently started about 2 months ago. I started after I did a report about what is in meat like chemicals and hormones. I feel healthier since i stopped eating meat because whenever i pa*s by a fast food joint i dont feel the urge to stop and get two cheeseburgers. I've also started eating more organic food. It is much healthier to be vegg.
