Stars will do some weird things in the name of weight loss (I've spared you the Ben Affleck colonic reports, for example). But I have to hand it to Fergie -- she came up with a particularly unique way to cure cravings. The Pea carries around bottles of condiments in her purse -- hot sauce, steak sauce, and maple syrup, to be exact. Then she dumps them on her healthy meal du jour -- egg whites, for example -- to play tricks on her taste buds. "I'm brainwashing myself into thinking I'm having steak and pancakes," she told Self magazine. I'm giving her points in three categories: One, for creativity. Two, for actually letting a writer observe and report on her crazy food rituals. (Most celebs prefer to fast for a week before the interview so they can show off their "super metabolism" by eating a cheeseburger. Then they pray the cheeseburger gets mentioned in the article, so the binge will be worth it.) And three, she gets points for admitting, later in the interview, that she usually screws up and overeats at least once a day. Could be because she knows the importance of health after her battle with meth addiction a few years ago. She says, "I'm not stick-skinny...but I do want to take care of myself and make sure I'm healthy." (P.S. I love her workout gear -- she's always sporting monster headphones and a holster of water bottles. I give props to anyone with the confidence to tread that fine line between a utility belt and a fanny pack.) Trackback(0)

A little more from Fergie, this time in People magazine: "I am not what’s trendy now in Hollywood—the zero zero. I definitely have curves...I love running stairs. It’s really great for the glutes, and I always like having a nice shape back there."
