By which I mean: Is Kimkins the new diet that every celeb is going to swear by, even though it’s probably unrealistic for any human being without the aid of a personal chef and/or millions of dollars riding on their weight loss? But that would have been a little too wordy for a headline. Either way, according to a Kimkins blog, Jessica Alba is the latest celeb crediting last year's extreme weight loss to the newest low-carb fad. According to a Kimkins blog, other followers include recently-shrunken celebs like Paris Hilton, Beyonce, and Lindsay Lohan. And the official Kimkins site claims the plan (a “low carb, low calorie diet with no fiber or sugar alcohol subtraction”) can even help type 2 diabetics lose their dependency on medication. But it’s a wee bit intense for most—the approved foods include non-fatty protein, low-carb veggies, and protein shakes. Jessica’s meal plan is equally stringent—dinner, for example, might be a small helping of sashimi, veggies, and three small red potatoes. Yep, just three. I can’t believe she isn’t falling asleep on-set. I have to wonder if she’s still following it so strictly, though, because she’s been looking healthier lately—in fact, same goes for Paris, Beyonce, and Lindsay. Of course, with promises of losing 25 pounds in a month, I’m sure this diet will stick around for awhile. Trackback(0)

Check out the Kimkins profile at the Better Business Bureau website (www.bbb.org) -- the organizations gives them a "D" rating and outlines the questionable practices. Interesting stuff!

No celebrities use Kimkins. Kimmer is a scam artist. What she doesn't tell you up front is that to lose the weight she promises you are going to have to severly restrict your calories. It is not uncommon to see members with daily calorie ranges from 300 to 500. And this is applauded by Kimmer.
