Oh, did you think this was going to be a post about Amy Winehouse? No, no, no. I'm talking about water, so put the shot glass down. I just heard that Tom Cruise is jumping on his own weight-loss bandwagon, after forcing wifey Katie Holmes to shed her baby weight pronto despite his own burgeoning spare tire. According to sources, he's doing 90 minutes of Pilates a day, taking vitamins, and drinking lots of water. Of course he does Pilates; who doesn't? Every shrinking celeb will credit Pilates, because it just sounds so much more civilized than admitting you spend an hour on the treadmill covered in backsweat and listening to Journey on your iPod. But it's funny he mentions water, because I recently read Star's cellulite manifesto, where they find close-up pics of celebs from behind and pair them with far-away pics from the side, and then marvel at how their cellulite simply disappears. But under a photo of J. Lo's cellulite (from 2006; guess it doesn't make many public appearances), "cellulite reduction expert" Lynn Banfi suggests that J. Lo should drink 100 ounces of water a day. Um...that's just short of a gallon. I'm going to cross my fingers that Banfi meant to say 64 -- the standard recommendation, although many doctors are now saying that's overkill. Either way, drinking water does prevent bloating and boost metabolism, so you can't go wrong. But if you're going to take Banfi's advice, make sure you're never too far from a bathroom. Trackback(0)
