Anyway, suddenly more and more celebs seem to be telling the truth about their workout routines (i.e., admitting they bust their butts to stay svelte) and following strict-but-doable diets. Which, by the way, is the only combo that still passes muster with sticklers like the American Heart Association. The latest celeb trying realism on for size is Drew Barrymore, who basically has a different body type for every awards show. Her most recent look can best be described as “post-breakup slim.” She’s dropped 15 pounds since her engagement fizzled out, but not from starving herself in misery (or, ahem, drowning her sorrows in Ben & Jerry’s). Drew explains: “I use a Stairmaster, go to Pilates classes and run regularly.” She also orders healthy takeout—steamed fish, chicken, and veggies. And—here’s the shocker—she admits that maintaining it is hard work, unlike those celebs who pretend their sole source of sweat is the trip from the makeup trailer to the set. Speaking of Pilates, I’ve also dug up some info on Gwyneth Paltrow’s Pilates routine, which is the key explanation for why she looks so much better in her current post-baby, pizza-noshing state than she ever did when she was half-starved on macrobiotics. Keep an eye out later this week! Trackback(0)
