The Best of the Best Print E-mail

Star magazine recently gave Pink props for her physique, voting her Best Tattooed Bod in their award-happy “36 Best & Worst Beach Bodies” cover story.

Now, there are three reasons I almost ignored this article completely:

1. Beckham in a white Speedo.

2. The embarrassing pic of F-lister Heidi Montag sitting on her boyfriend’s back while he does push-ups.

3. The phrase, “How do you say hubba-hubba-hubba in Spanish?”

But the Pink pick redeemed it ever so slightly. She tends to gets slammed for her six-pack and linebacker shoulders, but after getting a front-row view of her muscles in action during her recent tour with JT—which included ribbon acrobatics worthy of Cirque du Soleil—I was a wee bit envious of her buffness.

Her secret: She doesn’t go to the gym. Seriously. Then again, she does just about everything else, like outdoor kickboxing sessions, yoga, Pilates, skateboarding, swimming with dolphins, golfing, biking, and surfing. Variety trumps routine when it comes to exercise, because it prevents your body from going on autopilot. After a few months of daily runs on the treadmill, your boredom levels may increase, but your body has figured out a way to make it through the workout with the least amount of energy. Efficient? Yes. But it won’t help you lose weight. By switching it up, Pink keeps her body guessing. And apparently that’s how you end up looking like this.
