Celeb Moms, Part 2: Baby Weight or Baby Bump? Print E-mail

Here’s what happens when you don’t drop your baby weight fast enough in Hollywood: You start seeing rumors that you’re expecting again. Just ask Reese Witherspoon. Last spring, Star plastered her face on the cover of the magazine, along with an equally glowy pic of Julia Roberts and the headline, “Reese & Julia: Baby #3!”

Except, um, neither story was true. Julia is due with her third sometime this summer—but unless 14-month pregnancies are the new thing, she wasn’t expecting last spring. And Reese? She wasn’t so much pregnant as on the verge of a divorce. (She filed a lawsuit against the magazine in June.)

That said, the unflattering photo of Reese that served as “evidence” of a baby bump may have kicked her weight-loss routine into high gear, because she’s looking slimmer than ever. She lost the baby weight thanks to a diet of fruits, veggies, and whole grains. She’s also a fan of running and yoga, which helped her shed those last stubborn pounds.

As for Julia, I guess we’ll see her plan of action this summer.
