A Cart Full of Love Print E-mail

For some reason, I can’t get enough photos of celebs grocery shopping.

I think it all started with the Britney Spears Munchie Extravaganza, when she and K-Fed rolled through the aisles with a cart full of Cheetos and Fanta. (Completely unrelated, but am I the only one who thinks her new hairstyle makes her look like Garth Algar?)

Anyway. The downside is, the average celeb only seems to hit the grocery store once—maybe twice—a year. Usually it means a) they were feeling desperate for some semblance of normalcy, and b) the drive-thru line at In-N-Out Burger was too long. But I love when they make the pilgrimage. Checking out the shopping carts of the rich and famous is kind of like peeking into someone’s window at night. Only more legal.

Follow the links to some of my favorites:

Jessica Biel seems to have something against solid foods. She packed her cart with Red Bull and 72 bottles of water. I thought I spied a champagne bottle in the back, too—or maybe it’s ketchup.

Soy milk + Honey Smacks = Rachel Bilson and I could totally hang out.

I’m pretty sure I see Lay’s kettle chips and Coca-Cola in Jennifer Garner’s  bags. Love her classical taste.

Jessica Simpson is obviously window shopping. I doubt she’s been allowed to touch a loaf of bread in years. BTW, I hope she plans to pay for that water. No sampling!

Mischa needs to do the shopping from now on—Cisco Adler clearly can’t handle the responsibility.

'Course, I buy four pounds of salsa a week—so who am I to talk?
