When the Tabs Cry Wolf Print E-mail

I get a little freaked out when every skinny star is automatically labeled as anorexic.

Denying an eating disorder is practically a right of passage now. For example, Keira Knightley—she just dropped a lawsuit on Britain ’s Daily Mail for claiming she had an eating disorder. The article even links Keira’s alleged ED to the death of a teenage girl. You know, by example.

It seems like the tabs have a tendency to confuse “anorexic” with “skinny.” In Keira’s case, her midriff was gap-inducing even back in 2003, when she was promoting the first POTC movie. She’s not sick—she’s skinny. Yes, her body size is incomprehensible for about 95% of us. But if everyone’s throwing around accusations of eating disorders, will it be harder to spot celebs who are actually in trouble?
