Recipe: Summer Fruit Soda Print E-mail

A great soft drink alternative.

Serves 4

INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup chopped fresh strawberries (or raspberries)
1/2 tsp sugar
1 1/4 cups nonfat vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt
1 1/2 cups club soda
1 cup raspberry sherbet
1 cup orange sherbet

DIRECTIONS
1. Press strawberries through a sieve over a bowl; discard seeds. Mix strawberries and sugar together and divide the mixture evenly between 4 glasses.
2. Spoon 1 tbsp ice cream and 2 tbsp club soda into each glass and stir wel
3. Spoon 1/4 cup orange sherbet, 1/4 cup raspberry sherbet, and 1/4 cup ice cream into each glass. Pour 1/4 cup club soda over the sherbets and ice cream.
4. Serve immediately with a spoon, straw, and a little umbrella!
