A satisfying crunch when you've got the munchies.

Serves 4

INGREDIENTS
1 cup garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
¼ cup fat-free Italian dressing
1/3 cup fresh basil leaves or 2 T. minced basil in water
½ tsp. garlic powder
2 - 6” whole wheat pita breads

DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Using a knife, carefully cut the pita in half along the edge. Cut each half into 8 wedges.
2. Place in single layer on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until crisp and light brown (about 9 minutes). Allow to cool.
3. Place all remaining ingredients in blender or food processor. On medium-high speed, cover and blend until smooth. Scoop into bowl.
4. Serve the pita chips with the hummus and enjoy!
