With all the attention being placed on high-fat, low-carb diets again with the release of the new Gary Taubes book Good Calories, Bad Calories last week, you just HAD to know a study like this one was bound to mysteriously show up seemingly out of thin air so it would make headlines. Don't believe for a second this thing was not coordinated with the Taubes book release. It's just too conveniently timed if you ask me.

I swear there’s some sort of celebrity competition to see who can make exercise sound the easiest. I mean, just this week Hilary Swank credited Power Pilates and good genes for her perfect figure, even though everybody and their mother knows exactly how hard Hilary works to stay in shape. She practically won an Oscar for weight lifting. (And acting, too, of course. But you can’t tell me she would’ve won without those biceps!)

Hi, my name’s Allena, and I cook meat, and I do it almost every night. This is because, in my family of 4, I’m the only one who is vegg. My husband was raised on tacos with beans and rice (man, do those raise a man good!), and is rather attached to his “baby”…er, his grill. The children are pretty picky, and if McDonalds didn’t exist (hmm, there’s a nice thought), they’d pretty much be on my side.
