In the 1980's there was a television commercial for a fast food chain, where a little old lady went up to the food counter, held out a tiny burger on an enormous bun and said, "Where's the beef?" It may lose something in the telling but it was wonderful and a cultural catch phrase for some time after that. When someone felt they had gotten far less than what they paid for the question was, "Where's the beef?" |

One of the greatest challenges a parent faces is getting children to eat well; that can become a nightmare when children have food allergies.
Food allergies in children is a growing problem in America; diagnosing and dealing with them is as unique as each individual involved.
The first monumental hurdle is to accurately identify the problem as a food allergy in the first place. It is often easier said then done because allergic reactions are an immune system response and the symptoms can be as individual as we are. |

Everywhere we turn someone is selling a new, green, eco-friendly, whoose-a-ma-gigger! Sometimes the greenest difference you can see is the price tag. As consumers, we know companies are worse than a cheating partner, in telling us what we want to hear. We want to do the right thing but please, what is it? |

With many complexities of modern life, it is easy for us to get so bogged down in discussions of the complex issues. By focusing on the many details surrounding them, we may forget to establish the basics and understand the fundamentals.
Few topics are more important to consumers and equally filled with unknowns and confusion than the subject of gmo food.
No matter how much we may think we know, science and technology keep adding to our understanding and it is helpful to try to keep the foundations of our beliefs on solid ground.
Hopefully this will do just that, beginning with the terminology used to describe a set of molecular techniques that can alter the genetic structure of organisms and transform food as we know it. |

On any given day, dozens of emails come to me, from gmo-free activists and researchers around the globe. For the most part the story remains the same.
Monsanto and the Biotech Brigade somewhere are waging war on human health, the environment and Sovereignty. Attacks focus on targets down to the lowest levels, as they legislate loopholes to perpetuate a taxpayer funded Business Plan, privatizing the seeds of life and putting Nature to work for the petrochemical companies benefit. |
