I’m a freelance health writer and entertainment reporter, so I alternate between stalking the stars and digging up info on diet and fitness trends. Sometimes, I do both—hence this blog. If you’ve been trying to figure out how to squeeze into size 25 jeans or fulfill your destiny as an action hero, this is your place to find out how the celebs did it (and, more importantly, how they DIDN’T do it) no matter what they want you to believe.

I would love to believe that actresses have Kobiyashi-style eating competitions on-set. But I don’t. And I especially don’t believe it when we’re talking about these two stars. |

Stars will do some weird things in the name of weight loss (I've spared you the Ben Affleck colonic reports, for example). But I have to hand it to Fergie -- she came up with a particularly unique way to cure cravings. |

You know, I wouldn’t blog about baby weight so often if

So, you remember when Courtney Love said she lost all that weight on a macrobiotic diet, right? I’m not the only one who heard that? Well, apparently she was just kidding. What she meant to say was, the macrobiotic diet made her fat and diet shakes made her skinny. I can see where anyone might get confused between the two. |

By which I mean: Is Kimkins the new diet that every celeb is going to swear by, even though it’s probably unrealistic for any human being without the aid of a personal chef and/or millions of dollars riding on their weight loss? But that would have been a little too wordy for a headline. Either way, according to a Kimkins blog, Jessica Alba is the latest celeb crediting last year's extreme weight loss to the newest low-carb fad. |
