The Star Skinny

I’m a freelance health writer and entertainment reporter, so I alternate between stalking the stars and digging up info on diet and fitness trends. Sometimes, I do both—hence this blog. Obviously the fashion industry has set an unhealthy standard and done some damage to the self-esteem of women everywhere. Why do you think celebrities are so skinny? After all, if you want to wear the free clothes that keep showing up on your publicist’s desk every day, you’d better be able to squeeze into an itty-bitty sample size. That said, I don’t know how I feel about the new rule that bans size-zero models from the runway.
