The Why: The weather’s nice ... so hit the road, Jack. And don’t just guess how far you’ll go. Thanks to MapMyWalk.com, you can go the distance and a whole lot more. This is a great tool for travelers, avid wanderers looking for new journeys, and/or those who want to share their favorite routes with family and friends. In a nutshell, this is how it works: 1) You enter your starting location and are shown a map. 2) You can zoom in and out, select satellite images to show photos of streets and landmarks, and even mark pit stops along the way. 3) You can save your route and get info such as distance, time, speed and calories burned. |

The Why: The Fall Harvest of Fruits and Veggies may be here, but time doesn’t grow on trees…and sometimes it’s just not possible to cook from scratch. (Which is why it’s important to stock your kitchen with healthful foods to get you by in a pinch.) One great, faithful cabinet standby is soup, and ‘tis the season for a nice warm start to dinner…but pureed soups can have cream and other high-fat ingredients, which can turn them into calorie catastrophes. This is not the case however with Pacific Natural Foods’ Butternut Squash soup. |

The Why: How long has it been since you were proud of the “tin” you brought your lunch in? (Come on, don’t you wish you still had a Wonder Woman or Speed Racer lunch box?) Well, planning your meals in advance and preparing them yourself are integral parts to eating healthfully. So if you’re gonna pack it, why not have something swanky—and reusable—to carry it in? This neat lunch set will have you packing with pride and making sure that you take time to sit down and eat your food. |
